GE View 2: The original application using HttpX.dll was Google Earth (GE) View. With HttpX module 2.0, now 360 degree pan views controlled by a joystick POV (HAT) switch are possible. The screenshot below shows the Google Earth view on take-off at Frankfurt am Main (EDDF) while pushing the joystick HAT switch to the right. The 3D building elevation views are remarkable.

Some of the best news for a long time!

Next will be to add it to cockpit view ......

See this as an example of just how great GEView is. The best scenery by far and completely free.

My one question is how or what do you use to edit the .dll file Notepad does not work as it shows the content as gibberish and unreadable. :?:

One of the best editors for coding (editing code files) is geany

Once it's installed a simple right click 'open with geany'

Hi all,

I've tried this and it didn't work for me. The GEView simply opened a browser and showed a small green square. Nothing happened in FSX. Did I do something wrong?
