Problem with a download

Postby jrbirdman » Sat Mar 25, 2017 7:50 pm

If you go into the search and type in Lufthansa MD you'll come across an MD-83 in Lufthansa livery. I can't seem to get it to show when I select it and hit Details. Does anyone know what the problem is? Best regards, Jeremy

From a quick peek at the file preview the AIR file is missing. http://simviation.com/1/preview-popup?fileId=39057&path=FSND_FSX_MD83+Lufthansa%2F

No FS aircraft can work without an AIR file.

I'll download it later to check it out properly.

Copy the .air file from this and it should be OK

http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... &x=25&y=11

I will also download it later and re-upload with the air file included

The air file was there but didn't show in preview due to the type characters used.
The aircraft.cfg file had incorrect reference o the air file and I have now uploaded a corrected version - although I didn't actually test it.

The file will now appear in new files as it's been updated.

Thanks for the feedback! I wish more people would report errors in files. 8-)

Glad to be able to help, just trying to make sure it was known ( and at the time hopefully fixed) so others wouldn't have that problem and could enjoy the aircraft :). All the best, Jeremy

Why not do like one other site does and have Library editors that are responsible for checking uploaded air craft before they actually go into the site. all it would take would be to create a folder for all uploaded aircraft to be submitted to prevent anyone from uploading new aircraft or scenery with out it first being tested by someone.?
I use to do just that at the other site I am talking about that I will not mention here as I know it is a sore topic. But it makes sense to me it would be one way to insure that uploads meet the standards we want.
