New Member. Hello.

Postby TruNorthSim » Fri Feb 24, 2017 7:39 am

I'm new to the forum, so I wanted to say hello!

I also wanted to let everyone know that I have uploaded a few files in the FSX/Misc section of the site. One is a "FPS Fix" that gives a small performance gain by removing a small, almost unnoticeable amount of autogen. Another file is the Alexandria Sound Pack for the Sound Effects Panel by Marcus Thompson.

I recently uploaded updated aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg for the A318, A319, and A320 CFM included in the A320 Family Megapack, but they haven't been added to the page yet.

I will continue to update .air, aircraft.cfg, and panel.cfg for various aircraft and upload them for you guys. I have some very nice photoreal scenery that is all season compatible that I'm working on as well.

My multiplayer group is called FSXF US Central. Our Steam group page is http://steamcommunity.com/groups/fsxuscentral. We have a nice Virtual Airline hosted by FSAirlines.net, and you can find us on there if that's something you're interested in. We have custom liveries for many types of aircraft that we fly in our VA, and they are available for free to our members. We also have a multiplayer server and teamspeak that run 24/7. Add me, JackRiordan, on Steam, and message me if you are interested!

If you have Twitter, you can follow me @fsxfuscentral
You can follow my group on Twitter @FSXF_US_Central

Here is some images of scenery I'm currently working on. The buildings are taking me a long time to complete, because I don't have much time to work on them.

Thank you!I try to stay motivated to complete the projects I get involved in, but sometimes I get a bit sidetracked. I live very close to KXNA, so it's been a special project now for almost 2 years. During that time I had no idea how to even make a scenery, so I've learned a lot in a very short amount of time. The photoreal is all season compatible. The only downside is that the trees and buildings won't automatically be in the correct season, like snow on the roof or trees during the winter.

The work-around would be to go a step further and create extra scenery files so that, if the user wants to see this extra eye candy, they'll be able to go in the scenery library, uncheck the summer scenery, check the winter scenery, and reload it. I haven't figured out how to make a nice configurator like Fly-Tampa or Orbx, but maybe I'll meet someone someday that can help me figure that one out. :geek:

If I can get these complete, I would really like to do a nice all season remake of PANC Anchorage, including the EDF Elmendorf Air Force Base. I really can't stand the AS Anchorage X, as it has always given me low fps and even a CTD 60% of the time, everytime. All the work I do is very performance friendly.

All my scenery will be free, of course. I do this as a hobby.

Test model added to my all-season KXNA photoreal scenery. We also now have a working jetway at A1. Progress!

After adding the test terminal, I decided to take screenshots of my KXNA all-season photoreal scenery from the south during each season.
