Windows 10 and FSX Default Aircraft

Postby pilot1066 » Sun Oct 16, 2016 5:16 am

Is anyone able to help me please? One of Windows 10's enforced downloads successfully altered my FSX files. I have the downloaded addons but all of the default aircraft (C172/182/Beechcraft/Mooney/etc] are missing. I cannot find a source for these of any site. Could someone send me these please. Thank you

Hi
Is this FSX Steam or Boxed version?
I don't have the Steam version and I don't know if you can replace default from Steam but you can from the boxed edition.

Meanwhile there are versions (full versions) of most, if not all, the default FSX aircraft on this site. A little searching will bring them up - if you need help let us know.

Thanks :)

Hi. This is the steam version. I have looked on this site using the search option and all I can find are textures for the default aircraft. Will try again but no luck so far. For the benefit ot others who find Windows 10 a nuisance you can block it's updates by setting your connection as metered. I did'nt want it anyway but it did it automatically. What do you enter into the search box to get default aircraft?

Well - try searching for the title in the relevant category -- such as 'select - fsx props - search - cessna 172' ....etc

Quick search :)

Cessna 172
Cessna 182 - was there a default FSX 182? ... can't remember that ...
Baron 58

....

But -- This may be a better solution ...... as the files listed are modified versions of the stock aircraft

"You do this by going to your Steam Page, Click View at the top left and Click Game Details in the drop down bar, this will bring you to your list of Games. Find FSX, right click and click Properties.
You will see this. Click Local Files, then click Verify Integrity Of Game Cache. This will rerun the installer and replace any damaged or missing files
