The Arrow in question...

And an Upgrade (FS9 only):

FS2004 (ACOF) - FS2004 General Aviation
FS2004 Piper Arrow Plus 2
[ Download | View ]

Name: piper_arrow_plus_2.zip
Size: 10,793,598 Date: 10-20-2015 Downloads: 612

FS2004 Piper Arrow Plus 2. This package is for the FS2004 version of the CLS Piper Arrow 4 Free. The objective of this package is to achieve more realistic performance characteristics and a co-ordinated "brown" cockpit scheme for the 2D, 3D and external views. The previous version is not required for this install. The package includes "brown" 2D panels in 1024x768 and 1366x768 widescreen format, to match the 3D panel; revised aircraft.cfg and Piper_PA28R_Arrow.air files with new flight dynamics envelope (FDE); revised gauges to match the new FDE with new tooltips giving detailed gauge information. "Brown" panel and upholstery trim is now visible from external views, and a more subtle prop animation texture. By Tim Wright.

It works great in my FSX Acceleration setup.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Thanks I found it and downloaded it. I use to train in a piper arrow and loved it.
I was going to post the link but you beat me to it. I hope people see the statement about using the DX10 preview if not we will be seeing some posts about that.
Some people download first and ask questions later and than they wonder why things act the way they do afterwards.

I downloaded this little aircraft and have been extremely pleased with it. To be honest I had never heard of this company and after flying this Piper and the way it handles I started looking at other ac by this same company and was happy to know that they are reasonably priced. Thanks TonyB for the post!!!

I down loaded this aircraft and installed in both FS9 and FSX the first thing I noticed is that the aircraft could not be selected in either sim. When I looked into the aircraft folders the plane was there. So the first placed I looked was the aircraft.cfg file and it would not open. I use FSPANELSTUDIO so it is selected by default to open any CFG file. I have not yet had a chance to look at either file using notepad yet. Since it does not show up in the aircraft selection menu I suspect the problem is in the aircraft cfg file.
Did anyone else have the same problem. :?:

I discovered the reason why this aircraft was not showing up on the select aircraft list for either sim
The reaason is a miss named .air file you have to rename the file called Piper_PA28R_Arrow.air66543 to Piper_Arrow_66543.air
in the sim 1 section
I knew it had to be somewhere in the aircraft.cfg file
