Nanaimo Water Aerodrome

Postby Flying Trucker » Tue Sep 13, 2016 5:21 pm

Evening all...

I downloaded the Freeware from ORBX "CAC8" Nanaimo Water Aerodrome.

The Download shows in the FTX North America "Airports" List of Downloads.

It does not show in the FSX Library...now the Nanaimo Airport does but not this Add-on.

Does this need Lockheed Martin P3D to make it work in FSX :?:

If anyone has this would they kindly post me some info here...thanks... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I think you need the payware PNW scenery otherwise the scenery is surrounded by land.

Hi Dave

I have PNW and when I clicked on FTX Central and clicked on it I got something about it not being installed correctly...there was no PDF Icon either.

I put the PNW Disk in to see if I could repair it.

Nanaimo Water Aerodrome shows up along with the PDF Icon.

Checked out the Nanaimo Water Aerodrome and everything looked good until I noticed Trees in the Water.

Went back to continue a saved flight and low and behold the water was filled with trees.

Now I can not find how to uninstall PNW totally and do a reinstall...all I see in the Control Panel is the FTX Global Base Pack, 12.7G...I think that uninstalls everything.

Any ideas :?:

This application will install CAC8 Nanaimo Water Aerodrome to the ORBX folder inside the Flight Simulator X/P3D folder automatically.

Orbx FTX Pacific Northwest is strictly required. Without it, CAC8 will be surrounded by land. Before continuing with this installation make sure Orbx PNW is installed and is working correctly.

I believe that you used to have some other terrain running in addition to the Orbx/FTX scenery. If you still have that running it may overlay the Orbx scenery.

If CAC8 is installed correctly you should see this under "North America".

On the other hand, this looks like it's well worth the effort to get things sorted out. Thanks for pointing it out.

Good morning all... <<s

Well my FTX Central looks like that except some of the Add-ons are different.

Here is what has happened...

Default Flight over Friday Harbour...1st two pictures

Simulated Cross Country Flight PRIOR to REINSTALLING PNW ...two pictures

Have run Mitigation in FTX Central.

The Problem occurred when I put the Disk in to re-install PNW...thought it would repair the Download...it did give me the two locations for Nanaimo Water Aerodrome which show in the FSX Library and the Configure Symbol which works but as you can see the Scenery is messed up.

Do I need to Un-install all ORBX :?:

All I see in the Control Panel is the FTX Global Base Pack, 12.7G...I think that uninstalls everything.

Comments and Advice most welcome
