Problems with Textures on some add-on aircraft

Hello fellow aviation enthusiasts.

I just bought a brand new computer specifically for flight simulator X. Have had previous versions of the flight simulator series and i'm quite familiar with how to move files and add downloaded aircraft. I am having an issue with a few aircraft i have recently downloaded. The textures on the fuselage of the aircraft are just a plain white texture. The TU/95 Bear that i downloaded all the textures on the fuselage i can see but the tires and wheels show up white.

Do I have to change my default bitmap program?

Probably very simple but i am stumped. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

I use DXT1 Bitmap Manipulator I can open all form and send to my paint software and send back to this program and resave.
You might want to post this problem in another section designs is not exactly where this should go. Most questions like this would be asked in FSX or which ever flight sim you are dealing with I would think.

This is the only Tu 95 I can find. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=Tupolev_TU95.zip&x=21&y=9
I note from the Readme that it's an "adaptation" for FSX. That & the textures in BMP format indicate that it was originally created for FS9.

The first thing I would try is to make sure the "Preview DirectX 10" option is switched OFF from FSX Display Settings. This feature is the most common cause of texture display problems with FS9 aircraft ported to FSX.

As usual Hagar is right on with his post. I have also noticed aircraft that was meant for fs9 and someone tried to make it usable for FSX and did not quite get the textures right.
You would see odd things using FS2002 aircraft in FS2004 things like empty engine nacelles or missing landing gear and some other odd effects
there is a old saying that goes like this you can usually go down a version with software but you can hardly ever go up. In other words FSX aircraft will more than likely work in FS9 but not the other way around without making some changes. Of course I am probably wrong as usual  I usually do not mess with things like that.
If I do not feel comfortable doing something I do not do it usually. I have attempted some things and most of them did not work out.
I once tried my hand at making an aircraft and that nearly cost me my sanity and my hair  But I did manage to make a building that I now use as a line shack at my home airport.
Trust me it was not an easy task.
That is why my hat is off to those who manage to make aircraft as I know that it is not an easy task by no means.

I tried the Tu 95 from my link. Looks like I was correct.

With Preview DirectX 10 enabled.
