Missing Files in Kalitta/DHL Cargo Boeing 747-400BCF downloa

Postby Boogm » Sat Jul 16, 2016 1:00 pm

Hi everyone,
I am just new to this site, having just downloaded my first add-on from here yesterday! I downloaded the
Boeing 747-400BCF Kalitta Air/DHL Cargo that Chris Evans had posted to the site on June 19,2016.
I installed it yesterday per the instructions & then opened it in Steam & basically all I was seeing was a
repaint. So I got to rechecking the files, trying to find where I may have erred in the download process, I didn't.
However, I did notice that the subfiles under the panel file where all empty. I just completed checking the zip content
on the main file here on site & it shows all the content in panel files, so i thought i had messed up somewhere on my
end, so I deleted it and downloaded again. I get the same thing! No files in the subsets under the panel file
Anyone know where or how I can remedy this?
Thanks, Booger

I'm assuming that it's this one - FSX/P3D Boeing 747-400BCF Kalitta Air/DHL Cargo (Category: FSX > Civil Jets).

It's not a type of plane that I prefer, but I'm downloading it now. Offhand it sounds like you have a corupt download.

I see the problem. The files in the Panel folder are configured as Hidden files for some reason. They are all there but depending on your Folder Options settings you might not be able to see them. If you install the aircraft in the usual way it should work as advertised.

I notice there's no Thumbnail.jpg in the Texture folder but that's easily fixed.

OK, it works.

The zip file 744kalitta_dhl_fsx.zip is 33.9 MB (on disk size)

The file, 744kalitta_dhl_fsx, folder inside of 744kalitta_dhl_fsx.zip is 33.9 MB was transfered to the "Airplanes" folder in the flight sim.

The sound file "GPWSalrot747vc" was transferd to the main "Sound" folder for the flight sim (NOT the Sounds folder).

Is it possible that you transfered the entire 744kalitta_dhl_fsx folder instead of just the Posky Boeing 747-400BCF Kalitta Air DHL folder?

Thanks for the rapid responses Hagar & Oldairmail,

I will check it out again here soon, I got hit with a ransom screen as I was bouncing around
after my second download, so I'm running a scan currently. I'll keep you informed &
thanks again.
