arik air 340 windows not in line

Postby bombardier » Sat Jul 09, 2016 6:54 am

hello to all: I really do not know where to put this I will try here.

I was flying the arik air 340 over pakistan while I noticed the windows by the tail section was not in line with the other windows in the forward fuselage by the cockpit. the windows by the tail section is down where the cargo area suppose to be. any ideas. besides that, it flies great. if I can get a screen shot up I will but do not know how I guess I could use the print screen key and try that.

If this is for FSX the logical place to ask questions would be the FSX forum.

Is this the file you're referring to? http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=toma345-1.zip&categoryId=

It looks fine to me.

hello hagar:

p.s. please disregard the first sentence. I looked it up and its not the pics from the arik air folder jpeg my bad.

yes thats the plane, but those pictures are from the arik air folder under jpeg images yes these are ok but sitting on the tarmac or the runway its not so. I looked at it again and the windows located where the cargo area should be.

also I did not post this in fsx because I thought it does not deal with the actual flight sim fsx.

if I can make a screen shot so you an see what I mean it will be alot easier for you to see what I see. as for a screen shot I do not want to make an all day project out of that. I just want to snap and post in forums and that's it.

all my other planes are fine, no problems

Hi bombardier. The images I posted earlier are screenshots of the aircraft in my own FSX. I'll try it again in the air but can think of no reason that it would be any different.

hello hagar thanks for the post:

why is yours is ok and mine is not? maybe I should delete that folder and reinstall it maybe. and see if that does any thing.

I tried it in the air & both day & night to check out the textures. It works fine for me as before.

If we're both using the same file I have no idea why yours would be any different. I doubt that reinstalling it would fix it but it's worth a try.

I doubt that downloading the file again would fix anything but it's worth a try.

This might depend on which version of FSX you have. I tested it in FSX Gold + Acceleration.

hello hagar:

just an update what I did was to delete the folder arik air in airplanes folder and I downloaded the arik air 340-500 again and its works now all the windows line up like they suppose to. do you think a corrupt file some where in the old folder that I deleted caused the problem?

Glad you fixed it. I have no idea what caused the problem.

hello hagar:

I'am thinking maybe a corrupt file. maybe a file did not get all its info during the download. but I have noticed the the same plane had 2 types of numbers. one was a 340-600 airk air and under the aircraft cfg file it is listed as 340-500. this would be the bad one. the other that I downloaded was the same plane with 340-500 and the aircraft cfg saying 340-500 so I kept it and that one works. thanks for your time
