Hi there all :D

Is there perhaps a way to fix the following (which I hope are graphics related)? Any help will be gratefully appreciated :)

Kind regards

If I am not mistaken, that happens when a FS2004 helicopter is flown in FSX. Quite annoying I know.... :obscene-drinkingcheers:

You did not specify which sim, but I'm guessing FSX. The problem is most likely due to the chopper being FS9 imports. There is nothing that can be done with the shadow, except to turn off the "Cast shadow" in the user interface. As far as the rotor, again, nothing can really be done with that, since the heli was composed with the FS9 SDK. About the best that can be done is to modify the rotor BMP's alpha channel to make it barely noticeable so the disappearing blade is less noticeable when in front of clouds (or trees and buildings), or fly with clear skies.

The problem with shadows and transparencies is common with FS9 ->FSX add-ons.

find yourself another 5 bladed roto' heli' and swap textures ,, keeping the same file name as the original one you have, it may take several attempts until ya get the right one.

I've done it with many aircraft and heli's in my FSX Gold / Acceleration.

I've got over 4,997 aircraft in my Sim, if that tells ya anything :o :o

My lovely little FS 2002/FS 2004 "Bensen Gyrocopter" exhibits the same problems when used in FSX, so I cure the problem by selecting; "clear sky" in options, and ignore the funny shadow on the ground!.... ;) .....!

Its well worth it, just to enjoy the model!.... ....!
