Whatever happened to Bojote’s Tweaking and Tuning tool for FSX? I think the website was something like www.venetubo.com/fsx.html.

I used it about a year ago after struggling to get my FSX to run properly and it made a huge difference. Now i'm reinstalling FSX on a new computer and would like to run it again, but looks like the site has been hijacked.

Honestly if you have a newer pc with pretty good specs you shouldn't even need Bojotes tweak. I used it when I had Win XP and it seemed to help a bit but didn't make much difference on my newer PC.

But not everyone has a new computer, and those who have middle-of-the-road technology can benefit from tweaking and adjustments.

Here's a lengthy but detailed "bible" that addresses some of the most commonly used tweaks. But if a written piece ever badly needed a copy editor, Good Lord, this is it:

Cool thanks fltldave, I vaguely remember looking at NickN's guide the last time, but just thought it is way too cumbersome and lengthy. But perhaps in the absence of Bojote's tool, it is time to have another look.

SteveM, I know what you're saying about modern systems, but despite having an i7-2600K overclocked to 4.6GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM and an NVidia GTX970 driving a 34" screen (3440x1440), i still found that Bojote's tool made a noticeable difference. I'm now going with an i7-4790K and hoping that it won't need much tweaking, but just wanted to run Bojete's tool anyway as it does optimise a few things (with just two or three mouse clicks).
