Want to upload screenshot but was told file is to large. How do I make it smaller?

To make the file smaller, resize it using any graphics editor. Resize so the image is 1024 wide should work.

As far as the airport, is it the default YMLT, or an add-on? Default looks normal on mine. Also, if it's an add-on, make sure it's designed for FSX, not FS9.

The original filesize for screenshots using the v key is 4mb bitmap, In fs9 or fsx you can use a small program screenshot v4 http://simviation.com/1/download-file?f ... leId=27692 which creates full size screenshots when in jpg of around 140kb per picture.
I usually use screenshot v4 for fs9 screenshot captures, and in fsx take the original shot with the V key, open original picture bmp and convert to jpg using fs paint, and if the file is still to big over 250kb, I open snapshot and have it running in the background then reopen the jpeg image with paint, click on select, drag create box to full size of the picture and click on cut snapshot makes the sound it makes when it creates a picture exit paint do not save picture and then go to location you set snapshot to create pics and your picture should be around 140kb. This is the method I use for my screenshots and why I can post 7-8 pictures and still be under 1mb limit. The output is not as good as the raw bmp but I can live with that as I would rather have full screen shots. I use snapshot for other games or screenshots from desktop and it is very easy to use. You can just use snapshot for screenshots directly from Fs9/Fsx just start snapshot click on make ready and hide and when in the sim just press PrtSc key simple.

Thanks to all who replied. YMLT is freeware add-on from Orbx. Will see what I can do about screenshots.

Just had a look at YMLT and it displays properly on my laptop.

You might have a conflicting bgl.

I tried different heights and it displays ok. Its a very detailed airport and in a scenic location I hope you post a few screenshots of your problem and compare them to mine. I think the lights are a bit bright.

I think you must have some conflicting scenery or duplicate bgl.

Right or wrong this is the order of ORBX related stuff in my scenery library for you to check against yours.

The ORBX open lc europe8/9 are unchecked because they made uk textures look terrible.

Great shots . My scenery library looks just like yours except for the open lc europe8/9 which I don't have. Still having screenshot issues but you can see my screenshots at Fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2 Mine shoes the ultra lite in red half disappearing into the upper runway. Know other people have the same problem. Is your YMLT Orbx freeware?

Yes I only installed the freeware Orbx scenery on this laptop. I have the main runway with two grass runways on the right and the buildings on the left, I will have a quick look and see if I can find the YMLT.bgl. Have you installed screenshot so that you can post a few pictures? I have the YMLT.bgl in this location on my laptop C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_AIRPORTS which contains four folders FTXAA_AIRPORTS, FTXAA_HOLGERMESH, FTXAA_ORBXLIBS, FTXAA_YMUI. Do you have the Holgermesh installed?

Just had a run down the full length of the runway in the ultralight to check that it does not sink into the tarmac, it stayed at the same level for the full length of the runway.

Do you have the AU Holgermesh installed? and are the orbx files above any other scenery you have installed for this area?

Yes have Holgermesh installed. Looked at the YMLT .bgl files there are several. Don't know which would affect the runway. Do not believe I have the free Taz Demo. Will check. Thanks.

Do not have the free Tasmania Demo pkg. Where can I find it. Didn't see in Orbx site. My FTX_AA looks like yours.
