Need a little more information like system specs and exactly how does it lock it up?
Where did you get the aircraft in question from
Did it have a self installer
This is way to vague for any one to help you.

You answered your own question and maybe learned your lesson. That site has a bad reputation - like FSPlanet.
I've never had a problem with Simviation stuff over many years.

You can find several sites to download stuff for the FS series of software But you better be careful as you might wind up with something that you do not want such as a nasty virus that all the penicillin in the world will get rid of the virus. Stay away from unknown sites and please do not even look at a site called limewire I am not sure if this site is still up. But you are on your own if you download anything from there. as 98% of the junk they have is full of more bugs than you can think of.
My nephew completely destroyed a laptop to the point that it would not boot up for love or money. we wound up completely reformatting the hard drive as there was way to many trojans and other malware spyware and you name it. <<u

I didn't know that Alpha had a C-130 for FSX. At least not freeware which is what I guess we're discussing here.

Virtavia.com (who is the successor to Alpha) has two C-130 packs for FS9. If you want Alpha freeware go to the
designated source to eliminate corrupted files.

I've always loved the way the alpha stuff flies. They were sometimes a little lacking in their control panels though.

Haven't tried Virtavia though so cannot comment.
