Hi all,, been a while from my last post, hope all is well.

I have been running some issues on my PC, so I ran AVG (free) Anti virus, and if found inside my ALADA42_G1000.dll the win32/heur
that file is also inside the unzip file I have for the Diamond DA 42 file,

On the AVG forums some have said this Win32/Heur is a false neg...

Anyone know if this would be a False Negative??

Is it possible to to install a virus inside that G1000 file/Gauge?? I always scan my files before unzip/rar . it was not detected.

Also it has placed the file inside the Virus Vault, and when I load the plane in FSX its right eng will not stay running, and dies,
yet the G1000 seems ok...

False negatives are a common issue I use NORTON and it will sometimes find a needed dll file in one of my programs and quarantine it
I just go to the quarantine log and mark it as a good file eventually Norton will stop reporting it
But you can always report the file in your case to AVG they will let you know if this is a false positive or not
Any anti virus program will report false positives it usually takes a few times for it to stop doing this.
The reason has to do with the file signature which the anti virus program thinks is suspicious. Some antivirus programs are more sensitive than others.

Hello FlyTracy, AVG reports a "win32heur" [heuristic] when it finds something unexpected. It does not mean there IS a virus. If AVG did not report an actual virus file then its probably nothing and I personally would just ignore it.
Your right engine issue is probably something simple and unrelated. For example, did you move your right engine mixture lever to full rich setting when you started engines?

Hi thx for the reply,, I will send AVG the info see what they have to say about it. As far as my right engine, it was working as normal until that file was removed.

I gave up on AVG a few years ago, it said half my files were viruses. Maybe give Microsoft Security Essentials a try, it's very lite on resources and I have had no problems since I installed it.
