Adding extra scenery

Postby boromir125 » Fri Jan 22, 2016 4:04 pm

HELP! I know the cause of my problem(s) is me...I'm not doing something either in the right order, or the correct file...

When adding scenery, once I've followed all the directions, and re-started FXS, I can go to the settings menu, scenery and add-scenery with no problem. But, when I click on the "Addon Scenery" box, I get a scenery file with nothing inside. I can't load that which doesn't appear. I can go to windows explorer and find all the add-on's that way, but it obviously doesn't load the scenery into the sim...so the question is, what am I doing wrong??? I can download and insert aircraft with no problems, but the scenery files...ideas, suggestions or just a kick in the seat of the pants...all are welcome.

Thanks.

If its windows 7 or above give this a try
1.click on settings
2.scenery library
3.add area
4.add on scenery (note not all scenery defaults to add on scenery folder)
5.click on scenery you want to add
6.click on ok and then click on the white space underneath texture to add to the library.
for some reason in windows 7 upwards you have to click the white space under the two folders to add to library in FS9 & FSX.
