What I would like to know is if I was to build a new Windows 10 64bit desktop computer and then install that FSX SSD as an additional drive number, say (F: ) would it run and function as normal. In other words is Win10 capable of running an SSD that has been loaded in Win7. I have so much data on that drive reloading it all again doesn’t bear thinking about.

I do not see any reasons as to why it would not run. But your system will not see it because there is no entry in the regeristry for it. If you know what you are doing you can create a entry your self using REGEDIT. BUT unless you know without a doubt how to do this I strongly advise you do not attempt as the result could be disastrous to say the least.
