regarding the new in the library IRIS F-4...is there a way to get rid of the constant afterburner appearance of the exhaust? It makes the a/c appear to always be in afterburner...

tks

Hi,
First help . . .

Go to this file:

panel/iphantom/effect Controller

1.Make a safe copy of the "effect controller" file
2.Open the file with the windows editor and go to this section:

//----------Section c) Operates Afterburner effect at high RPM

3. Remove ONLY these two parts of the lines:

(A:ENG1 N2 RPM,rpm) 2.0 > &&

(A:ENG2 N2 RPM,rpm) 2.0 > &&

Save the file and try it!
Hope it helps!

Is anyone else having this problem? The nose gear functions normally when turning to the right but in a left turn the nose gear flips 180° and is backwards. A few times while taxiing straight ahead it also did the flip/flop routine too. Never had a sim aircraft do that before. None of my other aircraft do it. Anybody got a fix for this?

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

I wonder how many people noticed it? I admit I didn't. :doh:

Noticed it. But knew what you meant so I didn't think anything of it. Fat finger happens. :lol:

I have not messed with it much, but I never noticed it with the time that I did fly it. I kind of lost interest with it onnce I saw it did not have a launch bar and wanted to work both ends of a carrier with it.
I'll have a closer look once I fly it again.

Yeah, pretty much. Annoying as hell too! Other than that I like the aircraft but....
