Panel change

Into fsx we have the De Havilland DHC-2, with floats. I do not want them. I found DHC-2 Beaver MK3T without floats, but with an ugly panel! Is it possible to change this panel by the fsx's one? (or, a model with wheels and a fine panel)

You could try Aliasing the Panel from the FSX version to the Mk. 3, but the Gauges and Engine controls wouldn't be compatible (R-985 Radial/PT6 Turbine).

Milviz is working on a new Beaver, but it's still a work in progress. Currently, the FSX standard is still the Aerosoft BeaverX.

Hope this helps!

Absolutely. Go to C Drive/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes/DeHavilland_Beaver_DHC2 and copy-paste the Panel folder into the folder for your new airplane. As mentioned, you may have some inoperative gauges due to the piston-turbine conversion, but they will still be visible on the panel. If you're flying the turbine version, I would suggest copy-pasting the default Cessna Caravan panel instead if you don't want to go hunting for single-turboprop panels, but go ahead and dig around a bit if the default panels don't satisfy you. Thanks to the FSX native format, you can swap out virtual cockpits as well by copy-pasting the interior MDL file from another aircraft and redirecting the .CFG.

Alternatively, you can edit the CFG file for the beaver to make it a landplane by switching the value for the "landing gear" variable. The floats will still be there on the exterior model, but the airplane will behave as if it has wheels.

Hope this helps.

If the Otter is FSX native (interior and exterior models), yes. If is a FS9 portover, not.

In case yes, this is the way:

I'll make some experiments. I think it will not be easy...
Thanks you all
