Thanks

Bob, you may want to give it a try again.

I'm using Prepar3d V2.5.

The first time that I switched to that plane, Prepr3d crashed to the desktop. No message, nothing.

But the second time I tried it, it worked perfectly.

It's a great "low & slow" plane that looks better than most of other older downloads.

I'm keeping it.

How about a Decathalon? Check out LONG ISLAND CLASSICS, (LIC), BELLANCA 8KCAB DECATHALON. Stable mate to the Citabria.

Jim

.... oh yes it does .... :D You may have installed it incorrectly or weren't looking under 'Ballanca' in the select aircraft menu.

Got a beautiful VC too!!

It only had 2 files I believe and I put both in the SimObjects/Airplane and it didn't work. Did you do something different.

Thanks
Bob

Installation should be perfectly straightforward. The 2 files you refer to are folders named Airplanes & Effects.
(Note that these have the same names as sub-directory folders in FSX .)
Paste the contents of the folder named Airplanes (a folder named LICDecathlon8KCAB) into your FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder.
Paste the contents of the folder named Effects (3 .fx files) into your FSX\Effects folder.

I tried installing it several times in FSX folder effects, and SimObjects/Airplanes and it still doesn't show up in my aircraft selection. Not quite sure why. Any ideas?

Thanks
Bob

I've explained it to the best of my ability. Perhaps a screenshot will help.

What folder are you moving into FSX sim objects/airplanes? (what's the name of the folder you are moving?)
