Hi everyone, I had to reformat my computer last week and lost everything i had in fsx. Im just now reinstalling it I have the fsx gold. I installed fsx ok but when I tried to install acceleration it says Acceleration requires fsx english version. setup will now close. The disk all came together!.
System
Dell
Intel(R)Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 310 GHz
12 Gb Ram
64-bit
NVIDIA GeForce GT 635
Windows 8.1
I have installed the game on a seagate external drive with 677 Gb of 931 Gb free. The game is activated and works fine but no acceleration pack. Do I need to install sp1 or 2 even with fsx gold?

I also had to reinstall FSX Acceleration only about a month ago due to a hard drive death.
I don't remember if I was asked which language version during install - but the obvious question is - language compatibility. Could be that you selected different languages for each?
Maybe a good idea to uninstall and start over (?) & make sure you select the same language for each.

If your system was setup using another language other than English than by default some programs will use that for a language. It has to be that or what Pete suggested you selected a different language when you installed FSX.
IF this is true than like Pete said the only option is to uninstall FSX and reinstall Make sure you remove the FSX cfg file before reinstalling as I do not think it will remove it and that could cause a issue as I think that is where the language is set at but not 100% sure. If you do not know where to find the FSX CFG FILE look at the top of the FSX forum as this file is located in different places based on your operating system.
