Can any one tell me why the Auto throttle will not arm on the Saab 2000 auto pilot panel ,every thing else works except the auto throttle and speed select switch.
thanks

You need to look in the Aircraft CFG file you need to have the following lines
[autopilot]
autopilot_available=1
flight_director_available=1
Of course the panel you have will need the appropriate switch to activate it. You can assign key strokes for this as well but I prefer to use the switch on the panel.
Without these lines you will not have a auto throttle
The 1 here means yes a 0 means no
so if you have the line and a 0 is there instead of a 1 you need to change it to a 1

Thank you for your reply. the auto throttle was set at= 0 changed to= 1, the auto throttle arm was set to =0 changed to=1. booted up FSX to check the panel hey presto the auto throttle armed and the set a/s worked. Took off for a test flight switched on the auto pilot selected auto throttle and set airspeed at 250 knot's absolutely un-flyable with the altitude selected to keep the aircraft straight and level , violent pitch up followed by pitch down. As I don't have the first clue what to do to correct this I have taken the simple solution deleted the Saab 2000 from FSX and I will use the one loaded in FS9 !:-)
