Elevation problems with Add-on Scenery

Postby carlsonjeffers » Fri Jun 26, 2015 11:06 am

Hello everyone.
I have recently installed the LatinVFR Crown Point (TTCP) scenery for the island of Tobago. Unfortunately, I have discovered a lot of elevation issues with the airport when I loaded it. The runway has varying elevations. I also have ORBX Global Base and Vector installed. All my other add-on airports look immaculate except this. I emailed the company and I haven't received a response as yet. Can anyone offer assistance in resolving this? I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

First, welcome to SimViation.

The software is payware and I don't have it, so I can't try it.

On the other hand airport elevation problems are all too common.

Do you have any FSX mesh programs?

I have FSGenesis - World Terrain Mesh. It covers the world, and at $20, it seemed like a good bet.

Another choice is FS Global 2010.

FSX, of course, comes with a "global" mesh, but outside of the USA it's not as good as it could be.

However, the fact that you have FTX Vector may offer you a quick solution. Or at least it's an easy place to start.

FTX Vector comes with a program called - FTX Vector Configurator.

Get the update Version 1.15if you don't have it already.

Select the offending airport from the left column & click the Disable button. Don't forget to click on the Apply button on the bottom.

Hope it helps.
