B0ikat wrote:For that aircraft, the effects folder was contained within the F-16 Demopack vol 6 folder, not in a separate effects folder. Copy the contents into the FSX effects folder. You can delete the effects folder in the F-16 folder after that, since it's not needed in the F-16 folder. Some downloads package effects and gauges in separate folders, some times in the aircraft folder.

Ok I put the effects folder in the fsx effects folder but I don;t see a gauges folder. The aircraft documentation says that the afterburner works when the throttle is 100%. So I think i;m still doing something wrong. Maybe you can see if you can get it to work and then tell me what i;m not doing right. As you can tell i;m new to this. So thanks for helping me.
ok here's the problem I don't see a folder for the gauges in the F16s folder. All of the other aircraft I have downloaded had a gauge folder. One more question. What do you mean by do not download directly into FSX? Thanks.garymbuska wrote:sunny2 wrote:B0ikat wrote:For that aircraft, the effects folder was contained within the F-16 Demopack vol 6 folder, not in a separate effects folder. Most aircraft gauges are kept in the Gauge folder of the FSX. However some people prefer to put the gauges of each aircraft inside of the aircraft folder this way if they remove the aircraft they remove the gauges as well and you will not have unneeded gauges in the gauge folder.
If you want to put the gauges inside of the aircraft folder just make a gauge folder inside of the aircraft folder and put the gauges in that folder instead of the gauge folder inside of FSX.
However DO NOT I repeat DO NOT put the gauges in both places so if they are all ready in the gauge folder you will need to move them to the gauge folder inside of the aircraft. Problem with this is knowing which gauges to move.
If you do not know I suggest that you download the aircraft again and than open the down load and look for the gauge folder this will tell you what to move.
And what ever you do DO NOT DOWNLOAD DIRECTLY INTO FSX.
