Instant replay, playback very jerky.

I have Win 7 64bit, Intel i7 3770K (not clocked), 8G RAM 1600mhz, GTX760 2G video card, and have one SSD for system OS and one SSD for FSX. I have noticed over the last months a bit of a slowdown in addon aircraft loading times at the menu page. Also instant video replay of a landing is very jerky. Flights are smooth and landings is normal and smooth. Any ideas on how to restore my performance. Win 7 shows a performance figure of 7.7 for all that means?

The more add-ons you have, the longer it takes to load.

The jerkiness on playback is "normal". To minimize it during playback, use the "fixed spot" view, or tower view.

The FSX default recorder is NOT good..don't use it. :hand:

Download and use "FS Recorder" like most of us.

Also FS Recorder doesn't record Sound , just so ya know !!!

so you'll see your Video, there will be no sound !

you'll have to record sound seperately and try to Match / Sync the sound to the Video best you can !

or

You can use FRAPS Recording software that Records "both Video and Sound" !!! :P :P

Fraps has a "Freeware" version and a "Payware version". The Registered Payware version is $37.00 and they do have support to.

Some will claim that Fraps has "LAG" and will Lag your Video !

Which is True "IF" you don't have Ample Ram/ Memory and a good Processor !!

I've had a Registered Paid version of Fraps for 3 years now and have very few problems if any with it, and its much simpler to use and faster.

FRAPS : http://www.fraps.com/

FS RECORDER : http://www.fs-recorder.net/

The recorded flights are saved in a "binary file format" containing "flight data" and can thus "only be played back inside FS". These files are "NOT" video files, so it is "NOT" possible to play them with a "video or media player", or to convert them into video files !!

Thanks to all whom replied. I do have FRAPS as suggested by Jetranger. However when you have made a good or bad landing or some other action 'instant replay' is always available where as FRAPS has to be active. Thanks again, cheers.

If you have a GTX 760 you should be able to use Shadowplay from nVidia.
Unlike Fraps it uses your GPU instead of CPU to record with no FPS impact.
Get it here: http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/shadowplay <<r

BTW, FS Recorder does record sound.
