Can someone help me with HJG installation. I get the aircraft installed ok but when I start FSX and go to my aircraft section the plane shows up under a different plane. I just installed the HJG DC-9-30 AND 40 aircraft with no problem but when I installed the DC9-50 it shows up under a picture of my Delta MD88 and then every plane from there on is off by one plane. The same thing happens when I try to install a Boeing 720 or a DC8-73. They overlap another plane. Any suggestions........

Sounds like you're installing FS9 planes that have no thumbnail pics. Every model for FSX needs a thumbnail to display in the "Select Aircraft" menu. Just take a screenshot of the plane in question, name it "thumbnail" (without the quotation marks) and put it in that model's folder

Also any & all - Thumbnail - photo, screenshots for FSX, FSX Deluxe , FSX Gold / Acceleration need to be in JPG format or the Aircraft will NOT display in the FSX Menu selection.

Bitmaps and JIF formats will NOT work for the Aircraft Menu selection

tried it, done it experimented with it, been down that road and had to make a U-Turn !

Good point, Jet! I use BD Sizer which automatically converts all images to JPG, fast and easy so I never have to think about it.

Registered version of FRAPS does all mine

before that I just used the windows screen shot utility tool, Print Screen and then resized the screen shot photo.

Will give it a try. Also, something new. When I first start up FSX and you get your main screen with the aircraft selection, location, weather etc, in the main picture that shows your plane I get a small box in the upper left hand corner that says turn on PAGE UP F11. Any idea what this is....

Thanks. That did it. Didn't know you needed a thumbnail picture. Learn something new every day. Now if I can just get rid of that stupid box in the window.

Send a Screen Shot,,, cause I have NO Idea, without seeing an actual photo shot !
