I just bought a totally brand new version of FS-X Gold Edition it is fully installed but when I go to activate I put in the purchase code I submit but the dialer will not connect and the Key code will not register. did I waste my whole trip from Montana to Portland just to buy a new copy

Seems to me, you've just hit the excelent customer service provided by M$
I think you will have to call M$ to get it activated!
You can find phonenumbers in the main FSX folder called
>Phone Activation.xml< (if they are still in use)

Each time I re-installed my copy of FSX I cant recall having in any problems with its; "Activation"...

..indeed, with the latest re-installation from the DVD's, some 12 months ago, everything went through fine, after following the instructions.... ...!

Thats right, Paul. If you have had it installed before, the activating code is down at your registry somewhere or at the M$ server, so theres no problem reinstalling!

You have to activate by phone. Last time (spring this year) had to do like that and went without issues.
