What's the deal at Harrisburgh Int., Pa.

I wanted to fly out of this airport as one of the places I'm flying around the USA. The program sets you on the runway (there is only one) behind a barrier like what they have on aircraft carriers to prevent airplanes from crashing into parked aircraft. Unless you have crashes turned off it shreds your wings when you try to take off. After that I started the plane at the gate and avoided the barrier. So how do you get the tower to lower the barrier?

I haven't got a clue. I've never had any problem with it.

But then again, I have a lot of sceneries added and that may be one of them.

Try this download - Harrisburg International Airport KMDT.

I like to flay a fast fighter from Hazleton Municipal Airport (KHZL) west to the Susquehanna river and then race down the river about 500 AGL to Harrisburg International for a fast landing.

It's more fun than you might think.

Its not a barricade

The FSX default scenery for KMDT wrongly placed the Localizer Antenna (for ILS rwy 13) on the runway near the 31 end. It should be located beyond the rwy 31 end.

The KMDT download that OAM linked you to corrects that problem.

OK, thanks for the explanation. It's kind of like the airstrip in central america that has a grove of trees in the middle of the runway then. I forget which one has that issue. My brother showed it to me today.
