Registration numbers

Postby blackgranada77 » Fri May 23, 2014 9:19 pm

Is there a way to change the registration number on an aircraft? I have noticed that the Eastern Airbus A-300-B4 is N304. As far as I know they all started with 2. 201, 202 etc. Everyone I worked in Kansas City back in the 80s started with a 2 so I was wondering if it could be changed. I have noticed that the aircraft. config says N204EA but the aircraft shows N304EA. Why is this.

I suspect this a 3rd party addon. Without more information I can't check it out. If it's a complete aircraft & not a repaint of the default Airbus the registration will probably be painted on the appropriate texture. This should be easy enough to change for anyone with a basic knowledge of repainting.

The aircraft in question is from Tom Ruth and I am not good at repaints so I will just leave it alone. Thanks.

Hi,

If this is the default FSX aircraft, then the tail number displayed could be the "atc_id" in the aircraft config file.

If the repaint also has this in the .dds or .bmp file, it will display twice (overlapping). In which case set the "atc_id" as "".
