ENB Series: Summer-time!

Hello Chums.... :D ....

As a lover of warm, Summer sunshine, and clear blue skies....(and Bikini-clad lovelies).....

Much/most/all of my Flight Simming is carried out in areas such as can be found in California Central Valley in the Summertime, consisting mainly of agricultural fields and meadows containing various crops and orchards, and I wonder if any of my Chums has a "ENB Series" config notepad setting to give me gorgeous, Summertime, bright, yellow Cornfield, etc, effects, with bright, clear blue skies!

...something to brighten-up all the ground scenery around me, as would be observed on a bright sunny day in Mid Summer/Autumn!

I need MORE SUNSHINE if my FSX/FS 2004!

ENB Series:

Any ideas, Mates?

Paul....Sunny-side up!... :D ...!

P.S. I have increased my Monitor brightness, etc, to obtain the effect in the Flight Sim, but that also over-brightens the view on my "Desktop"!

Fozzer, use the REX_ENB_SUNLIGHT package that has been mentioned by Bass. That's what you need :)

EDIT: The payware SHADE might also play a role, though...

But they give it back to you in the Fall. Too bad you can't collect some interest on it.
Which leads me to believe it's better to die in the Fall or Winter. If you die in the Summer you die an hour sooner.

Many thanks to Kurt and Stephane for the heads-up on the ENB Series "Summer settings".
Inserted them into my FSX Folder.

It inserts a "yellow tint" to my ground scenery for a "warmer" feel!

I tried increasing the brightness and contrast setting on my AMD Graphics card to "brighten" the scenery up a bit, but that tends to over-brighten my Desktop as well!

Trying to create "sunshine" in the Flight Sims never seems to be very effective, and never simulates real life scenery where there is a sharp contrast between bright (shiny!) sunshine, and deep shadows!

It seems to work much better in the background scenery in various Computer "Games", and can be quite realistic!

One day we may have the effect of real cloud formations in our Flight Simulator which create moving shadows on the ground to increase the contrast between light and dark (sun and shadows) as I view from outside my living room window on a sunny day with clouds passing overhead!

Its the one thing I am desperately missing in; "as real as it gets", in my daily exploration of the FSX scenery down below me!

Paul...a little ray of sunshine!.... ...!

Glad you liked the effect :)
Once again, the payware "Shade" also brings some interesting effects on the light and shadows, regarding their colors and contrasts.

Concerning the cloud shadows, I'm afraid you'll have to switch to P3D for this. They just announced these shadows might be part of the next patch :D

Switch to P3D?....mmmmm.... ...!

I dunno....At the moment, as soon as I fire up my FSX, I know that I can concentrate on exploring my scenery, all day, without further ado, instead of waiting for various patches, modifications, upgrades, etc, to arrive for P3D, bit by bit!

Much of P3D seems to still be in Beta testing mode!

I might wait until its all complete!*.. :D ...!

Old Air Mail seems to spend most of his time fiddling with it!....I cant be arsed with "fiddling" nowadays...(that was all in my youth!)... ;) ....!

Paul... ...!

* ..mind you...at age 80, I'm running short of; "waiting time"... ;) ... ;) ...!

Indeed, P3D is far from being complete for the moment :/
But you should keep an eye on it from time to time. That sim is moving in the right direction ;)

Stephane... ;) ....

The ENB Series setting that you recommended is amazing!

When switched on, the ground scenery effect constantly changes depending on my height from the ground and in which direction I am facing during daylight!

It generates a most realistic, ever changing colour and brightness effect to the grass and cultivated fields below me as I traverse them at low level!

Very pleased!

Paul....collecting Salad Crops in SOCAL!.... ...!

..also using "FS BOB" (free Utilities), to dismount from my aircraft and wander around my landscape scenery...>>>> https://fullterrain.com/freeware.html
