BLDGS and TREES in fsx cfg

I'd like to increase the number of buildings and trees in the fsx cfg. I remember doing it a couple of times when I had WinXP as OS. Now that I have Win7, did it change? Of course I won't exceed the max settings.

This one, under "Terrain"...>>>

[TERRAIN]

TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=3000//4500

TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=1000//3000

Note: I have "decreased" mine from default.
(I am running all my other settings at Max).

Paul...with less clutter... :mrgreen: ...!

The default cfg did not include those lines so I guess they need to be added correct? I don't want to place too much load on the system so If I go with 3500 for trees and 1500 for buildings would that be OK?

Hello Bubble..... :D ...

If I can remember correctly, I think that I ADDED those two lines under the [Terrain] heading.

The default for mine was 4500 for Trees, and 3000 for Buildings.
I REDUCED mine to 3000 for Trees, and 1000 for Buildings.......to reduce the density and make certain areas more realistic, eg: Desert, etc. (I had everything else set to maximum!).

Just INCREASE the numbers if you wish to increase the density.

Give it a try...see what 'appens... ;) ...!

Paul....mostly dense... :mrgreen: ...!
