Flight Simulator Software

I'm just curious. What kind of flight simulator software did the pilot of that mystery Malaysian aircraft have. Did he have a game flight simulator like the FSX or a professional commercial pilot simulator. Looking the the pilot's picture on TV with the simulator in the background it does not look like it's any different from what most of the flight simmers have except that he was using three monitors. Also what's the big deal about it that the FBI had to take it all the way to Quantico, VA to check it out. All they have to do is check out with Microsoft and with any of the Simviation Forum members.

Not positive about what simulator program the pilot was using. Reason the FBI took the computer is to attempt to recover the pilots deleted files I read.

Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was an FS9 & FSX enthusiast, just like the members of this forum. He built his own simulator & posted videos on YouTube. Nothing unusual or sinister in that.
It took me less than 5 minutes Googling to find this -->

So how much altogether did it cost the US government in taking the flight simulator data all the way to Quantico, VA for examination when they could've asked any of us Simviation members what information they wanted. If the Malaysian airline pilot planned anything sinister, he must have gotten his pointer from those involved in the NTC 9/11 attack. I still think the whole thing smells like rotten tuna.

I wonder how long it'll take the FBI to finger out that MSFS is constantly creating and deleting files during every flight...they are gonna have a LOT of deleted files to search through, not to mention I wonder when the last time he defragged the HD, or did a format, or...
BTW: Interesting little side-note, the defrag program that MS still bundles into Windows is a child of the brain of Peter Norton, yes that Peter Norton. The man the pretty much created HexEdit, Defrag, Firewalls, and so many of the other utilities we use without thinking these days. They tried to steal it, back when everyone was still using Windows 3.0, or DOS 3.2., and a 20MB Harddrive had to be split into 2, 10MB HD's cause DOS wouldn't recognize anything bigger...They didn't want to pay what Pete was asking. Well, turned out Pete had coded in a bug that prevented operation of the software. Once they payed him, he gladly provided them a properly functional copy they still use today! Windows Defrag is a dumbed down version of Norton's Disk Defragmenter. Pete has an amazing mind...Phenomenal house too! Saw it in an acrchitectural magazine once...Entire house is covered in deeply bees-waxed, hand-rubbed pine planking as paneling. Something like 100 years old...Grain is amazingly deep, the waxing did amazing things for it...
Anyway...great day, and fair weather to all!
