How in gods green earth did you manage to get that close to a tornado in a ultralight.
You either have a lot of guts or you are completely out of your mind. I would be heading in the opposite direction of it. <<q

I agree with Gary, this is CRAZY!! You cant even get on top of it, in that plane...

Tho, i think i would like to make a flight, with real weather on (in another plane), and do a tornado search when the time comes :dance:

My version:
I think I would like to go into my Tornado Storm Shelter, with real weather on, (sit in my cosy armchair), and wait for the tornado to pass over when the time comes...

Much more practical and safer, Kurt....trust me!... ;) ... :lol: ...!

Paul...."weather" frightens me...I keep away from it!... :mrgreen: ...!

I was wondering when someone would come up with this image.
Most definitely a Tornado on the ground if I ever saw one.
When I was working at KJAX I actually had a tornado chase me down a road close to runway 7 25. A scary event I was taking empty containers to the post office. We wound up going in a ditch and then getting in a container. The tornado made a mess of things at the general aviation hanger.
It looked like someone swept up the aircraft into a big pile and was waiting for the dust pan to pick them up.

Figured out how to make one.
1. Download the Waterspout add on: http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... &x=18&y=10

2. Unzip and convert to an aicarriers (I use AI Carriers 2) ship (delete the panel folder, air file and the aircraft file. Grab the sim file from another ai boat and change the title to AI_waterspout)

3. Install in the aicarrier.cfg

[formation.XX]
title=Waterspout
unit.0=AI_waterspout,0,0

In custom weather, set cloud bottoms to around 1000, and set cloud density to the max (otherwise, you will see the top of the funnel just cut off at 6500 feet). Call up the waterspout like you would any other AI ship or boat and give it the "forward" command. For it to move, it has to be over water.

The model of the spout in the vid was "bent" so it looked like it was twisting around a bit. Waterspout_2 is straight (but the texture spins), so it's a bit "dead", but it works.

Ummmm.... WATERspout. If anything, it should be a foggy looking white. I'm sure the textures can be made a darker grey, with come dark bits tossed in for good measure, for a tornado over land, but since aicarriers is geared to ships, it would be static except for the spinning and a slight wobble.
