LPMA Madeira Scenery by Scenery Dude?

Has anyone installed the fsx-airport.zip here at Simviation. It is for Madeira airport and it's by Scenery Dude. There is no e-mail contact for Scenery Dude.
When I install it everything works fine except I get some hills protruding through the 23 runway end and the 23 starting point has some added distortion. The 5 runway end is perfect. The terminal and lighting is perfect. The columns are under the 23 runway as depicted in the jpg's.
Does anyone know how I can solve the problem or have a contact for Scenery Dude? If anyone has Scenery Dude's contact info please send it to me via Private Mail.
Thanks, BobF.

I haven't tried that download. Is it only the airport?
If so, then let me suggest
Madeira X. I'm sure that you would prefer to save money like most of us, but this one really is worth it.
You inspired me to do a short promo for Madeira X and Madeira Island.
Click here if you want to see a little of both.

Hi. OK. Thanks. I'd like to get the freeware Madeira working for a friend who has tried it and can't get it to work either. I have gotten further than him but have the anomalies at the runway 23 end.
Do you know of Scenery Dude. He has lots of scenery here at Simviation but no contact info.
Your screenshots and videos are great. I'll pass them on to him.
I'd buy the Madeira x if it was not so costly. I myself usually fly in the U.S. Maybe it will be on sale at Xmas. (I hope!)
Best regards, Bob.

I hope that wasn't the download that you were talking about.
The standard FSX scenery was much better.
You may want to try
Madeira on Avsim, You'll need to create an account, but it's free.

Hi. Thanks. We have tried the Toni Agramonte scenery but there are all kinds of houses and other artifacts in the water. There is still some problems with the 23 end of the runway. If Aerosoft puts Madeira X on sale at Xmas I will buy it. Regards, Bob.

One thing that I've found is, if it is going to be on sale it'll be before Christmas.
Good luck.

I'll check this out later when I get the chance -- I'll be interested to see what my experience is installing this.
Thanks for the feedback

I had some trouble installing this airport also but found a workaround.Ignore the README file.
1.Unzip fsx-airport.zip to a temporary location.
2.Open the Addon scenery file in FSX and create a folder called "Madeira".
3.Open this new folder and create two folders within it-"Scenery" and Texture".
4.In the Scenery folder put all 4 .bgl files.
5.In the Texture folder put all 11 .DDS files.
6.Fire up FSX and add the Madeira file in Scenery Library.
That should do it.I'm running FSX SP2 and it appears as it should with this configuration.Good Luck!

Hi I actually created the scenery a long time ago as one of my first projects. To fix the bumps at the start of the runway in flatten polygon could be used and sloped by changing the elevation of each node.

Hi Jeff. I assume you are Scenery Dude. Thanks for the help but I have no idea how to create a scenery polygon and change the elevation. Best regards, Bob.

Look up Scenery Builder X. It takes a bit of learning but is well worth it. Otherwise ask around. Im sure someone could make a quick poly for you. I have long ago lost the free time required to help! Good luck!
