Hey guys, some (or most) of you probably remember me.
I quit for a few years as FS got boring and it broke after messing around with sweetFX.
Now I want to fix this darn error but there is a problem: DVDcheck doesnt work and neither does FSX.exe so I can't repair or uninstall it, does anyone know the issue?
FSX.exe just gives me a useless error messageg and DVDcheck gave me a single error once saying wizard wasn't working and ever since i haven't been able to get it, now it just does nothing at all.
Can anyone help me?

DVD problems?
The major problem I had a few months ago was that my CD ROM/DVD Drive (IDE!) had given up the ghost...worn out, and wouldn't read the DVD properly...giving all sorts of errors.
Replaced the drive with a new (IDE) one...problemo solved!..The man in the shop said they don't last forever!

Tip...IDE Drives are as rare as Hen's Teeth now...all replaced with SATA drives now..(I needed a IDE one)!

Pretty sure its not my DVD drive as it reads all the files on it, think it could be a problem with the install wizard, i'll check on a different game that uses it.

Seriously IDE is considered obsolete now. I had to get rid of two good drives because they were IDE drives. I was able to transfer the data off them at least.
New Motherboards nowadays do not have IDE headers any one that does is a old mother board and not worth a dime.
Try finding a new computer with a A drive on it Odds are you will not unless it is a old model that never sold.

Luckily, I did manage to find a replacement IDE Drive, but if that goes then I am in deep schtook!
My old Y2005 Dell Dimension 5000, BTX motherboard, has both SATA and IDE sockets, but both SATA sockets were taken up with my two SATA HDD's, so I was left with getting a replacement IDE Drive for my DVD ROM. (It, and the CD Re-writer, are piggy-backed together with ribbon cable)!

New IDE Drives are not listed anywhere now!... ...!

Yep, its me Fozzer.
Anyways, I'll check if it isn't just a corupted file or something, not in a hurry but wouldn't mind getting it fixed.

EDIT:
Sorry for the bump here but just a little update, got the thing working again by starting it in recommended settings a couple of times, apparently it also thinks I don't have java however it runs perfectly (bar the 6 fps, and the crashes after 15 minutes because my GC is getting hot enough to burn my hand).
Now just a fwe more things...
Does that java thing have to do with updating to the newest java, and also, what was the key to activate ENB again?
