The post I first sent was my original post on the subject. Unless I just missed something.

I just Goggled the error you listed and from what i have read some say that the shortcut you use is bad. try deleting the shortcut and than making a new one.
the other way is to use your start button and go to the fsx game and click on it
To make a new shortcut if you do not know preform the following steps
make sure to delete the old shortcut by highlighting the shortcut and right click than select delete
than with the mouse pointer anywhere on the screen right click and select new than shortcut than browse to where the FSX.EXE file is at and click next and finish

My mistake, then.

I thought that you were still trying to get around your video card problem by transferring your FSX instillation to a new, or rebuilt, system.

As transferring/copping files from one setup to another doesn't work in most cases ....

Me bad

Gary: You were right. the icon I was using was bad. I got another icon from the fsx folder but when i clicked on it I was asked to activate the Acceleration which I did and now all's fine. Thanks.
