Serious Anomaly

For some reason, when I try to start the game and click the "Fly Now", a warning message appears showing the following:
Microsoft Flight Simulator X
"A fatal error has occurred"
"Windows is checking for solution to the problem"
A progress appears momentarily but then FSX restarts. I just experienced this when I tried to play the game last night. I have not added any new program or deleted anything.
Any idea why this is happening? Do I need to reinstall?

Easy go there Bubble, this is a common prob we all have.
Did FSX restart ok?.
I always restart the pc, and then i forget everything about those strange behaviours windows can do

You can take a look at your win event logs to see what happened, and i'll bet its fsx.exe and/or a memory dump.

FSX restarts OK. How do I get to the win events logs to check on fsx.exe. and/or memory dump?

As admin right click computer then choose Administrate.
On the left side you can open all log files. You can find fsx problems under programs.
While you're there, then take a look at the amount of files. Those folders can be huge, so maybe a clearance of "old days" logfiles could be an idea.

Look in your control panel and look for Administrative tools you will find EVENT VIEWER there.
On some operating systems you can also see Administrative Tools by clicking on the start button and than ALL Programs .

You misunderstood me there, Bubblehead.
I always have a link on my desktop to "Computer".
Your "Computer" you can also see on the right side after clicking "Start".

I was unable to get to the "Administrative Tools" using the above suggestions probably because it may have been in the Hidden Files. However, I went to C:\programdata\microsoft\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs\Administrative Tools. I saved it on my Desk Top for easy future access. Nonetheless, I got to the Event Viewer and found the following:
Error 65 during the last 7 days
Warning 25 during the last 7 days
There is also a long list in the Summary. What should I do next?

Search the error/warning id's, then search for solutions!
Sorry, noone can help you with the information you posted.

I tried everything else but no joy so I decided to uninstall the FSX and did a clean re-install. I activated successfully but when I tried to play the game and clicked "Fly Now" I got the same warning which says the following:
Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working.
A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
When I clicked "Next", it sent me to a "Repair" or "Remove" window. I clicked on Repair and the result is the following warning box:
1628: Failed to Complete Installation.
Is this an FSX program or something else that is affecting FSX?

Well, are you selecting a certain type of aircraft? or is it with any random plane you chose?

The problem occurs with any aircraft I pick up at random. However, there were two occasions whereby I played the default game using the Trike Ultralight and the Friday Harbor airport and the game played successfully UNTIL I clicked on ESC button to end the game and instead of the box stating End Game, Continue, etc. it gave me the same "Microsoft Fatal Error Occurred " warning again and the FSX restarts. Another odd thing I've observed was that when starting the game, in the four corners of the Start Up window I've noticed a white extension as if a blank sheet was behind the Start Up window. Note that I have the same FSX program in my other PC with the same aircraft, gauges, effects, sound, etc. as the problem PC and it works fine. Also if it means anything I haven't played the FSX in the problem PC for at least a couple weeks. Then I downloaded a couple of aircraft (the Bison and the Marlin S5) and when I tried to play the game that's when I experienced the problem. I have since removed those two aircraft I just downloaded. Any other things you think I should try?

I would uninstall everything then Nuke FSX, and give it a clean set-up, and only install trusted software. If you download a plane from an unsafe source, then it could have serious consequences on your computer.
