Did you remember to save your settings after you adjusted them?

If not, click 'Save' in the Setting section, name your config file and press save. Every time you make a change to your settings, simply save your settings again and double click on your .cfg file that you created, and overwrite it.

Hope this helps.

Normally, settings are lost because FSX cannot save them in the FSX.cfg.
This usually happens because of Windows security/authorizations problems.
You can try two things:
- ensure your FSX is launched with the option "Run as administrator" selected. This can be set in the properties of the shortcut link on your desktop, for example.
- if this doesn't work, then you could try to disable the UAC from Windows (User Account Control).

Also, you can try to delete your FSX.cfg (or rename, in case you had some tweaks inside that you want to remember) and let FSX generate a new one on next startup.
