OK boys & gals, Has anybody figured out how to stop them ( the socalled AI ATC ) from sending you to fuel when you ask for a gate (got 22 self loading cargo to let off)?
I've been working on this and it's racking my brain cause I cant climb up to that virtual tower and crack the dude up side the head!
So if anybody got this figured out it would be greatly apprechateit! And if I figure it out I'll surly pass it on.

When I contact ATC "Ground" (FS 2004), I am given the options to Parking, Gates, Take off.....or nothing at all!

..but I always have the choice of what to do...and I can ignore all/any them, at any time

...I spend a lot of time doing what I want to do, in the Sim!.... :D ...!

Paul......Rebel!.... ...!

The same thing has been happening to me too, but it doesn't bother me.

Thanks for the replies. In a nutshell, What it is, is that I've been flying using FS Economy (FSE). When using a system aircraft (or a owner aircraft), it didn't bother me much. But now that I bought my own virtual airplane it's a bit of a nusance. The reason is that you have to buy your fuel from FSE. So in order for the FSE system to work you have to stay away from the fueling stations, because as we all know when you pull up to the pumps you get filled up to the max, which will throw off your flight because of weight limitations (FSE wont let you take off overloaded). So what is annoying about it, is that when you want to save your flight, it's a pain to try and save your flight were you parked, even thoe I will go and find a spot next to the fuel (stay at least 2 spots away from the pumps). Its not to bad at small airfields, but say your dropping off your load at KDEN, and you pick a parking spot in your flight plan (which you hope is close to were you parked and saved), and you wind up to taxiing across the whole airfield, not only does it mess with fuel calculations but your also adding ware and tear to your plane, which can cost you in maintance fees. Also it be nice to off load my passengers at a gate, or be able to add a gallon or 2 of extra fuel if you have to make a long taxi from the ramp after off loading cargo. I'd like to know why you just cant pull up to the pumps and get only what you need. Which would be nice when you are only stopping for fuel. :confusion-questionmarks: :confusion-questionmarks:

FSE? Is this an addon?

Along with your fuel for the flight, and contingency fuel (15% domestic US flights, 20% International flights), and alternate airport fuel for the trip equaling to a MTOW, thats after all your passengers and cargo, and necessary fluids are figured in, there is a allowable fuel for taxiing. The MGTW (maximum gross taxi weight) this however must be burned before you can depart as not to exceed your structural MTOW for your aircraft.

First I'd like to say that even thoe FSE has there own forum, I came here first,
because, Sim V IMHO is the best flight sim website going. The personalitys here are the best!
This is the site to come to when figuring out FSX anomalies.

So without ferter ado,

FSE? Is this an addon? Yes Brian its free to use and I don't want to get off subject,

so quick rundown FSE simulates the cost of owning and operating your aircraft buy making V$, doing jobs.
You pay for fuel, ground crew fees, a few others, but fuel and maintance are your biggest expendetures.
If you use it recklessly you'll lose V$, it will teach you that operating and aircraft can be a pretty expensive proposition.

With that said, your right on FoMoCo63, but not to get to involved with the workings of FSE, There's also the option to buy or build an FBO, and even thoe theres fuel pumps at almost every airfield in FSX, but when using FSE, if theres no FBO at that airfield, you cant buy fuel. So when planning a flight and trying to keep it as real as possible (landing with the min amount of fuel required for example),
you gotta do your home work before planning a flight. Head wins will affect fuel consumption. A 20min taxi (including holding times) count as hours on your engine, and your required to preform a 100hr maintance check (or your plane will be grounded), and depending on the aircraft a 1000+hr engine change. Which is pretty spendy. In other words, when using FSE, you just don't take off and fly, you have to become a virtual pilot, which means, proper, prier, planning, prevents, pisspour performance, one of my fav quotes . Anyways thanks for the replies people, like I said, this is the place to go for the best flight sim intell on the web!

I'd like an answer too. It's easy to disregard your Ground directions and pick your own gate. However, should that be the home gate for an AI plane, you can't get out of it as it will stop thinking (correctly) that you are an obstruction. Another thing is, once you have saved your flight, there is no way to call for IFR clearance or contact tower until you have been to wherever ground control sent you to.
