I would like to set these type of plane on the water so i can take off from the water. I live in Scotland and would like to be able to take off from water near airfields like Dundee or Edinburgh which are situated near to water. I would also like to be able to take off from the sea by some of the Scottish islands.

Is there a way to place the aircraft in the water before takeoff? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Set plane at nearest airfield.

Press Y This is the slew key.

Using your joystick or your numpad move the plane forward/backward/sidewards to the location of your choice.

Press Z This will lower the aircraft to the ground/water.

Press Y. This now closes the slew mode.

Save flight.

Done

I have an idea that if you set your aircraft down at a location other than a named Airfield, and then save it, it is saved at an; "X/Y coordinate" with a "name", in the Sim, instead!

I often save my flights situated either in, or beside, a nice lake, ready to do a spot of camping and fishing, next time I load up...!

Paul....a nice grilled Trout for tea!... :D ...!

Many thanks for your replies. I'm not an expert, but I might try that runway creator.

Best wishes, tony
