Help with re-install

My FSX became corrupted so I decided to uninstall. I installed on a different partition this time (F). All went ok until click on icon to start game. Message popped up " Unable to Create Default Cache Directory
C:\ Program Data\ Microsoft\ FSX\ Scenery Cache". I thought this was supposed to be elsewhere in C drive. I am not sure why it is directed here. The registry shows correct location for FSX location on F partition. I am at a loss as to the remedy for this problem. Appreciate any suggestions. Doug

This has been mentioned before.
You need to install FSX on your OS drive!
Afterwards you can copy/move the FSX folder to another place on your PC, and then change the shortcut to that place.
Windows needs the data folders and registry to run FSX.
