These are pretty good but since I have installed Active SKY NEXT I am quite happy with my clouds I think they are awesome.
But this is payware

I am sure most of you have seen the FSX Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet Ver. 12.3 file on Simviation site, you had to buy captain sims F/A-18 D to fly the #7 Blue Angel, well the guys are working on a new version of it, it comes in 2 downloads. One is the Blue Angel Clean version of the C model that also comes with a D model no purchase necessary. The other version is the fleet version that comes with different load outs in real squadron paints. Biggest problem is it is still a work in progress and updates will still be forthcoming.
I got a hold of a paint kit and did a couple paints of my own.

I like the F-35 download as well specifically the B model The near vertical take off and landings are the best I have run across yet. I made a video of me getting one of my first flight with the F model.

Milton Shupe's HMS Bounty. Unlike most sailing ship add-ons, this one actually depends on wind and wind direction relative to your course in order to move.

Rick,
I hope by now you have discovered how to do "TRUE" instead of "NEAR" VTOL with the F35B; because that's the whole point of the aircraft.
In case you didn't: check the Manual, especially the part on "hover" mode. Tip: make sure total weight is below 40.500 lbs..

Cheers, Rob

Wow, now that is a big question,

It would take several pages to get it all down. Instead I will record my thanks to all of you who give your time and skill to providing freeware that enlivens flight simming and brings pleasure to those of us who have to rely on freeware because of our location in the world. My ehanks and gratitude to you all.

I like the Iris Beechcraft T6 Texan II packages. Really nice airplane.

I guess as the years go by there are fewer and fewer news, it's natural...
(tumbleweed)
...but also as the designers move on to other simulators, they are releasing their payware works...now as freeware
it is known that IRIS released many of its payware models as freeware (T-6B/C texanII, A10, F-22...etc)

before that Flysimware also released 2 complete Cessnas for FSX as freeware...(I mentioned it 2 years ago I think)

and recently Classic Hangar released 4 models:
the Focke Wulf FW-190A early, A late, D, TA-152, and the BF-108
https://www.classics-hangar.de/

any other news? (about a plane or an add-on?)

There is also a freeware Hawker Hurricane called "The Tin Opener", I don't know about you, but it's little known. . I it's full of levers... had to read the manual to identify each thing.

Another plane is the Ryan Navion A.... (not the "B", we all know the "B")...it's somewhat overshadowed by its bigger and more powerful brother... but it's SO different and the same at the same time, that I would definitely give it a try. ....in fact it comes with an (animated and functional) aerial flare dispenser (try it at night 8-) ), and its VC is very different from the "B" model, more classic and older. It certainly can't be compared to its brother (note: you must read the manual, because if not when taking off or landing you might get a bad surprise)

Also here on simviation.... (I just noticed today and was able to try it) there is a B-17 ex payware... the B-17 from Aeroplane Heaven (which is on Orbx). The version that is here on simviation is modified for firefighting... I mention this because maybe some people will be discouraged knowing that to download a freeware plane from Orbx you have to have all the "orbx central" software and the planes you want to get, you download them through that means. (you don't download a zip or an "offline" installer)
So if you want to try the B-17, but without going through all that, there is the firefighting version, so you can see what the model is like in general (its cockpit and modeling are TOTALLY complete and detailed)
