Well, I went to a EB store up Swanston then one in Melbourne Central, and guess what. Both didn't have it.

Arghhhh! I am surrounded by Melbourners! Not even the Sydney Swans can help here, half their team is comprised of those from Melbourne.  :P  ;D  ;) Hehe.

I can't even run FSX now, one 512 MB stick of RAM nearly wiped my computer by causing BSODs, and now its too slow to run anything a web browser, and I can just scrape it off with Armed Assault. Back to model planes I guess.

PC Aviator have notified me that it has been despatched.  I expect it in my Melbourne letterbox tomorrow.  Why on earth you wait for the general retailers to stock it I don't understand.  They will have it on their shelves only after some wholesaler gets around to packing it - and they won't buy many because FSX has proved a slow seller.

However I will have it tomorrow, but I am in two minds whether to install it immediately.  I have Vista and a Dx10 capable card but I am still following the forums to check out the best way of getting it running without experiencing some of the horrors that have been reported.

I think the careful preparation advocated by NickN will be the first step.  Also I want to know whether Carenado and FSD will upgrade the textures on their aircraft.  Left to me, my favourite Navajo would never fly again.
