Oh anther thing. A program like the recorder that comes with the game. I can't figure out how to install it for FSX. In the flight lessons section of the game it could use the recorder to give formation lessons.
edit: More scenery additions could be things like airshows. maybe some new missions could involve flying an aerobatic act in a show.

Microsoft has done a ship sim, a train sim, and a flight sim... and a space sim some years ago. I would like FS11 to be a merge of all, a sim that would simulate any moving thing, on the ground, on the water, in the air or in space, with just one unified physics engine, and one unified world-rendering engine.

Also, it would be VERY COOL if the player would be a human in the sim, able to walk out of the aircraft and enter in it. Just like Operation Flashpoint, but with better ergonomy/usability.

EDIT: good point Boikat => I would like an aircraft damage model as good as in IL-2 Sturmovik simulator.

EDIT2: I would like the sim to load all the sounds related to a place at a time, not only when the sounds are needed. I'm getting tired of the huge stuttering the first time I touch the ground on landings, just because the sim has been trying to load the touchdown sound...

So, you want x plane, with easier menus and better graphics? Im all for it. Current X-plane sucks hard.

1. Interactivity. Fly someplace, animation of cargo/people being loaded, fly to destination, unload...

2. Better lighting. (Some of the add-ons have really made beacons, runways, etc.

MOD NOTE:  OK this is now "sticky -ed".  Thanks for the idea Nick.

So let's please keep all of the "what I want in FSXI" comments in the FSX forum located up here in one place.  AND please keep the comments running in the wonderfully positive manner that they have been so far (ie - not gripes).

best,

1. Thrust Vectoring, cause y'know, erm, nevermind, I just want it  ;D ;D.
2. A FS2004 like multiplayer system or a better multiplayer hosting, preferably on some dedicated servers from MSoft?
3. cross compatability for the multiplayer, instead of everyone appearing as an ultralight while using FSHost to connect to FS2004 servers.
4. "Beta" patches, like drivers for a graphics card, which could potentially hurt the performance, or enhance it, but not a "beta" patch that would make some add-ons incompatible, at least without labeling it.
5... I'll think of something.

I wish... but then again, when do game developers listen to their fanbase?  :P
