Your going about this the hard way
You do not need to hit F-6 and install the 3ware drivers because the Raptor is not on the 3ware controller, its on the motherboard SATA plugs. As long as the Raptor is seen during Windows installl, thats ALL you need to show up. Install Windows on the Raptor and after Windows is installed, install the 3ware drivers/interface so the card and array appear.

Nick, I went to the school of hard knocks what can I say.
Nick do I want to put the page file on the array?
The page file is needed by Windows even if it never accesses it for extended memory use. It is still used by programs as an allocation table. It does not mean the application will use the file, it means the program has access to it and allows that program to allocate space on it, if it did need to use it.
Turning off the page file is a no-no
MS rec's???
ROFL
MS rec's are based on generics, not reality
@ 4GB 3072 is more than enough.. its only there for allocation
if this is a 32bit OS, you must make sure the OS is marked for >2GB use and you must be on FSX sp2 to get >2GB support if FSX or mark the application manually
OOM has nothing to do with the page file.. to prove that... switch it from a defined value to "system managed"... if the same OOM occurs, its not the page
Return to Flight Simulator X (FSX) and Steam
