FSX including FSX Steam version.

The deluxe ships with those additionnal things:
- the grumman goose
- two or three planes with the garmin GPS system (those planes are also in the normal FSX, but with the GPS)
- the tower controller feature (to be an ATC controller yourself)
- the SDK (to make addons)
It think that's it... if I forgot anything, someone will correct soon.

Lets see: a new DX10 graphics card, more ram, faster processor, CH Yoke and pedals, Saitek X52, I guess a few more dollars for the deluxe is not out of the question.

Wasn't there a previous post about which version people were gonna get?

Deluxe anyway.  Plus a new PC for Vista (see sig).

So it sounds like deluxe is for the real enthusiast that want to create their own FSWorld.

Sounds like the regular FSX is for me! I just like to fly and immerse myself in the beauty of the game. (yea that sounded not right) But there is nothing more relaxing that watching an FS sunrise or sunset!

Deluxe....

...but only if it is provided with a free copy of Vista...
...or, at least, a free copy of Windows XP containing Service Pack 2 (allowing upgrades)....
...or else...
Neither Standard.....nor Deluxe... ;)...!

Paul...OEM Windows XP Pro...Service Pack 1.... ;)...!

If I do buy it I'll go with standard. I'll need get two graphics cards, new power supply, and a new hard drive though. So it might be a while.

You know, I'm suprised to see that the age-old question of "what's the difference between standard and deluxe" hasen't died at all compared to many other questions. In the FS2004.com forums, there has been a sticky for the past month that covers the difference between the two and people still ask the same question [over and over again]. ::)

It's like the age old question of why the chicken crossed the road. ::)

You get more planes, more missions, control tower option in multiplayer mode, and the whole SDK.  Thats the difference.

:-[ sorry I asked! But I know i wasn't the only that wanted to ask  ;D

The way I figure it what the hey the graphics aren't going to be any different and i don't even fly aircrafts designed by Microsoft. Infact the only FS9 aircraft I enjoyed flying was the LearJet. All the other aircrafts sucked compared to the freeware addons!

I wonder, with the Air Traffic Controller ability, couldn't someone, doing that for one of the major airports, online, be a tad mischievous?  ::)

I pray for no virtual Tenerife disasters...   :-X
