I would like to see better rotor craft , IE. control axis for collective.

I would also love to see mid air in flight refueling in multiplayer.


try a twisting joystick. chopper collective is the same control as rudder. and make sure autorudder is off in realism settings


But a collective moves up and down, whereas a twist joystick moves clockwise and anti-clockwise.
You can buy realistic Helicopter controllers, with an up/down collective, twist throttle, and cyclic stick, but he programme has to support them.

Helicopter simming pretty much requires rudder pedals. Trying to execute a complex maneuver.. modulating pitch and roll with the stick (cyclic).. AND trying to manage yaw with the same hand, subtle left-right twisting inputs, is almost impossible.

Try it with just the calibration screen running. Try to hold a steady position (other than dead center) and smoothly twist it.. Now imagine trying to precisely CONTROL in-flight pitch/roll, while precisely modulating yaw control... while landing, in a stiff wind

I'm betting some or most of my wishlist is already in here somewhere, and it's all pretty much fantasy-land stuff and never going to happen, but I would like to see:

- realistic crash damage
- google earth quality default scenery that actually looks like the real world (so I can fly over my old house and stuff)
- rocket-powered flight modeling and the ability to go to space (does somebody already make some kind of space shuttle simulator?  I would totally be into doing some kind of visit to the ISS then re-enter the atmosphere and return to earth like an airplane mission...)
- lack of trees on runways
- better ATC; correct visual approaches and noise abatement procedures at airports near major cities without ATC trying to vector me across the approach patterns at neighboring airports and/or right through prohibited areas

and as to the debate around civilian vs. combat sims, I would definitely like to be able to shoot down the AI planes when they get in my way, which is terrible I know, but still I would like it.  And just to be fair I'd also like to have the F-16s show up and escort me away from restricted airspace and/or blow me out of the sky as they would IRL if I were to fly over the U.S. Capitol in a 172 or something.

I would be satisfied if I could even see the FS11 on the shelves at best buy  8-)

Okay then:
You can buy realistic Helicopter controllers, with an up/down collective, twist throttle, cyclic stick, and rudders but the programme has to support them.

WHIRLWIND OVER VIETNAM does support all these controls. I use a CH Combat Stick for cyclic, CH Pro Pedals for rudder, CH pro Throttle for Collective (It moves forward/back which is close to down/up) and a hat switch on the throttle for the actual throttle.
The Hover is not a bovver.

ATOP,

If you tried to fly over the Capitol in a 172 (the right "something" may attract an F-16) you'd find a bright orange U.S. Coast Guard helo indicating they desire the appropriate 'interdicted" response.  So, twist your collective a little harder, they do this just to keep the topic helo oriented..

I'm new to posting. But I would love to see more helicopter adventures, also being able to pick whichever helicopter you would like to fly in that adventure would be cool...................

I would like to see better crash effects (fires, explosions...), ATC handling when you call mayday, and fire crews for crash landings
i would also like to see military traffic.
as well as seasonal events such as famous airshows, operation red flag...
i would like to see REAL AIRLINES
as well as AI traffic crashing once in a while and engine failures
AI student pilots, so they screw up
As well as the ability to walk around on the ground around the aircraft
And finally default military fighters, bombers, and cargo planes with fireable weapons
In truth i would like to see a combo of CFS and MSFS

I want them to change the aircraft menu back to how it was in FS9. The one in FSX is too jumbled and confusing.

they did... actually the entire ACES team was dissolved.  :'(

but, this is a WISH list, so we can still wish for new features... one of them being FS11 actually existing ::)

anyways, here are my top wishes:

1. THRUST VECTORING (There's more to aviation than fixed wings and rotorcraft  ;) )

2. MULTIPLAYER MODEL SHARING (lo-poly proxy models created by the addon developer and shared across a session)

3. A COMPLETE REVISION OF THE RENDERER (it's about time we got some truly next-gen graphics... ie Lighting, shadows, HDR maybe)

4. PHYSICS BASED FLIGHT MODELING (for greater flexibility)
