I'll try and track down more information, but I don't believe FSX really supports the full use of military aircraft in combat simulation. Which is why I'd like to see that in FS11.
That's what CFS is for

And by the way Brett, if "MSFS has a significant place in REAL flight training", then why don't they get rid of all the military aircraft, and concentrate on the aircraft that students are likely to fly in real life?

What you gotta understand is, that MSFS first and foremost is a game / money-making machine.

I used to like flying the B-29 in FS2004, but the engines always run perfect and all engines run at the same temp and so on.
I would like each engine to run different and need different adjustments.
Keith.

That's what sets the Combat Flight Simulator experience a notch or two above Civilian Flight Simming.

Nursing a bullet-riddled bomber safely home, is no more difficult than nursing a Baron home, on one engine , or broken gear, or both or bad weather, or icing, failed vacuum sytems, or or or or or any combination of any, realistic set of problems to deal with. You can make either scenario more than a single user, sitting at a computer can barely survive, or even deal with at all.
Combat/civilian ... Apples/oranges ...

No, you're missing the point here. I was specifically answering the posting made by keith-uk, where he said: "I don't see the point in setting up an engine to fail and then just waiting for it to happen."
I was pointing out that in CFS3 the engine failures are dependant upon the random actions of the enemy pilots and the flak.
I'm sorry you didn't understand that.
I'll try to be less obscure in future.

I would like to see better rotor craft , IE. control axis for collective.
I would also love to see mid air in flight refueling in multiplayer.

try a twisting joystick. chopper collective is the same control as rudder. and make sure autorudder is off in realism settings
