Yes it has to be a xml file.
Are you sure your Windows is showing the file extensions ?
There is an option, which is set by default in Windows, that masks the extension of the files with known filetype. You should deactivate this option.

You have to go in the same screen that you used to show the hidden files, you know, in order to find the FSX.cfg. (you can't find the FSX.cfg when your hidden files and folders are still hidden by the system).

Ok, got it to ask to load the CumulusX.exe file at sim load-up, but soon afterwards CumulusX crashes, any help :-? :-? :-? :-?

Yes, the sim loads, I am asked if I want to load CumulusX, after I say yes and the sim starts, I get an error message from CumulusX saying that it must close

Maybe the problem is in the fact that I do not have any Service Packs installed, It says that it needs the service packs to work.

That could be the case, indeed.
I suppose you just installed Acceleration on top of FSX directly, right ?

Thanks Chuck, already tried the first one. But it says that it "cannot find the registration key" :-?
I have no clue where to find this (if it is even there).
