Well, I personally dont care about online. I never use it mostly because it sucks. I'd rather have offline than online.

Im guessing once the economy gets better, microsoft gets better they will release one. But the question is when will that happen.  :-/ I think this could be one of the biggest computer video games.

I would hate to see it like world of warcraft because I dont always have good internet so that could mean less flying not only for me but for LOTS more. Also to pay every month is rediculous. I would never do that and I hope that isnt the idea they are thinking but I highly highly dought microsoft would come up with that idea. ::)

But lets think of the posatives. If the main part of the game was internet based = then

you would not need a fabulous computer - as most functions would be done on the website. This may also mean that many more different planes could be available, and the computer would not limit the scenery detail or frame rates = as that part would also be on-line.

[color=#000000]Nope. The idea is simply to deliver the entire product to your computer over the internet. How could you have "off-line playability" otherwise?

Quite simply, with the previous model, MS was limited to providing "new features and/or fixes" every two to three years...

...with the new PC LIVE model, they could release "hot fixes" that will auto-update just like the operating system does now.

A basic game could be free - fly about and have fun with a few mates.

A pay - game with 3D phot based scenery and live tower control, perhaps with live co-pilots and navigators. Missions and developing adventures.

It could open up the game to a larger audience - as you would not need a fancy computer and it may be pennies-cheep, who knows?

To be honest - i agree with you - I didnot realise that the computer would still have to crunch out the scenery. Lets hope Microsoft will see that to build from scratch maybe best. The only way for them is to keep the Sim flyers all on the same platform - not fragmenting people off to FSX, FS9 etc.
