sorry...thanks nick its ok...there are just so many things for my poor little 1gig brain.....i do...i do have version 1.08 installed....gee what a waist of your time......cheers, vic

Sorry for a newbie question---do I need something else other than the "free gift" textures? What is GEX 1.08?

you dont need anything

they work all over the world with or without GEX

The are a gift to the community with no strings attached...



as for what is GEX...   clicky    http://gex.flight1.net/Gallery.htm

enjoy images

replaces USA Canada and Alaska ground and autogen  (not the auutogen textures just changes how its used)

If you are currently using UTX, Scenery Tech and FS Genesis products will this still make a difference?

what do you mean you cant get it installed?

It just overwrites the main Texture folder in FSX AFTER you back that folder up

what i do is
1. open the zipped folder

2. open the main FSX folder
3.Copy and paste the texture folder into a backup folder i have on my desktop
4.open the install autogen folder
5.copy and paste the folder named 'texture' into the FSX texture folder
6.close the readme and both zip file and main FSX folder windows
7.start up fsx and click fly now and every thing is still the default autogen
